I have a B.A. from Bard College, and attended the M.F.A. writing program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with a concentration in Fiction. My teaching experience includes: a Creative Writing class at a drop-in center for underprivileged youth in Hudson, NY; four years of teaching Freshmen Composition at UMass/Amherst; six years of teaching Creative Writing, Technology Literacy, and Video Editing at the Richmond Middle School in Hanover; and SAT preparation classes for the Ivy Leader program at Dartmouth college.
I have been a tutor with Upper Valley Tutoring for four years, focusing on the areas of reading and writing help, standardized test preparation, and executive function coaching. I enjoy working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their academic goals. In my administrative capacity, I help match students with tutors, schedule and organize organize our proctored practice tests, and hire new tutors.
I have lived in the Upper Valley for sixteen years. In addition to my work at UVT, I am the mother of a second grader, and a freelance writer who has published articles in the Valley News parent supplement.

I am a transplant from Southern California, having arrived in Hanover, NH, to attend Dartmouth College. It wasn't long into my undergraduate years that I fell in love with the Upper Valley, and so it seemed natural to make a life here after graduation. I've worn many hats since then, spending time as an office manager, a production potter, and web merchandiser.
These days life is one adventure after another as my husband and I attempt to weather and delight in raising our young twins and our many pets. In May of 2014, I joined Upper Valley Tutoring as the company administrator, after having been home with my little ones for several years. I handle the billing, payroll and various other administrative duties.

I am a recent graduate of Williams College, where I earned a BS in Mathematics and in Physics. Though I was born in Cincinnati, I consider myself a local; I grew up in the Upper Valley, am a Lebanon High School alum and returned to the area after college. When I’m not working with numbers, my hobbies include volleyball, golf, cactus gardening and playing every musical instrument I can get my hands on.
I joined UVT in August of 2016 where I’ve gained over 250 hours of tutoring experience, providing assistance to local students in math, test prep, physics and chemistry. My intuition and experience with quantitative subjects allows me to teach and understand a variety of approaches to problem-solving. As Intake Manager, I help match students with tutors based on the needs of the students and the strengths of our tutors.
